More than a story.
I believe one of the most important things we can give young children is a love of reading.
Shared reading helps children build language, vocabulary, imagination and understanding. Pobb makes storytime active, giving children simple ways to talk, respond, move and become part of the story.
Fine-motor development is also an essential foundation for writing. Rolling, pinching, squeezing and flattening playdough help children practise the hand strength, coordination and finger control they need to hold and control a pencil.
Pobb brings those purposeful movements into the narrative, so the physical play feels meaningful rather than separate from the book.
Pobb's goal is simple:
Make storytime something children want to join in with, remember and ask for again.
BEHIND THE BLOB
Created by a teacher.
Pobb was created by David Taylor, a British primary teacher with more than a decade of experience, including Early Years and Key Stage 1.
His work focuses on early literacy, phonics and helping children develop a genuine love of reading.
